Medical Education
Faculty：
By the end of December 2009, we have the faculty of 2 professors, 1 associate professor and 22 lecturers. All of them are certified by the Ministry of Education. Furthermore, there are 1 qualified clinical professor and 2 qualified associate professors granted by medical universities.
Medical Education：
Three committees – the Medical Education Committee, the Medical Research and Development Committee, and the Medical Ethics Committee – are responsible for a holistic medical and ethical education for medical personnel of all kinds as well as set norms with respect to medical ethics. The duties of the Medical Education Committee encompassed drawing up a variety of physicians, nurses, technical personnel training programs and refresher training, as well as to arrange for lectures, seminars and pathology conferences. We also signed several cooperation education agreements with many distinguished college of medicine, universities, nursing institute of technology and medical technical colleges by offering real-apprentice teaching teachers and workplace for residentships, internship, and clerkship. The Medical Education Committee further integrates, supervises and implements the “post-graduated medical training in year1 programs”.
Teaching Facilities：
The library has been relocated to the fifth floor of the Show Chwan Medical Building in 1999. Currently, a total floor space of 230.4 square meters is available. The collection of our library includes a total of approximately 9,300 books, over 2,200 varieties of Western and Mandarin periodicals (journal and e-journal), and more than 200 audiovisual materials are also available for our staff. Moreover, there is one large conference room with the capacity of 150-seat. We also provide 39 research rooms, 13 audiovisual rooms, 24 discussion rooms, 9 classrooms, and 1 medical laboratory. These are all available for various academic and teaching activities held by our hospital. Our EBM classrooms provide online teaching tutelage and provide space for group discussion teaching with 8 individuals.
