Obstetrics and Gynecology
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was set up in 1988. During our pioneering stage, it was hard when everything was not ready for the medical practitioners. Things ought to be done were left undone. At its developing stage, we began to set up the department head, gynecology physicians, obstetric physicians, hematology and oncology physicians, residents, interns, and ultrasound technicians to overcome the related problems.
In recent years, we have a commitment of furthering the continuing education of healthcare, which include gynecologic cancer surgery, uro-gynecologic surgery, perineal surgery, uterine surgery, and minimally invasive endoscopic surgery. The staffs dedicate themselves in improving and innovating techniques and services.
In addition, we continuously updated the medical instruments such as the doppler fetal monitor and traditional surgical instruments in the early stage to sophisticated instruments such as the 2D ultrasonography, the recent 3D ultrasonography, endoscopic and hysteroscopic equipments, harmonic scalpels, laser cautery, urogynecologic implants, and so on. All these state-of-the-art equipments enable us to catch up with time.
Recently, with the awareness of “Going Green”, our soon to be renovated “women and children” area will use highly meticulous eco-friendly technology that would provide a very humane and healthy environment which is safe, comfortable, convenient and private. Together with the full dedication of our highly specialized compassionate staffs and treating patients as family, we could attain our utmost goal of duty and responsibility and the desire of a “Healthy Green Living”.
